Play Funny Games
Water and Spoon Race
To play this game you will need two
players and two teams.
Arrange two sets of chairs an equal distance apart. On each of the chairs at
one end place a bowl of water and a spoon. On the chairs at the other end place
an empty glass.
Set a timer for an appropriate length of time. Younger players will need
longer.
The object of the game is to see which person (or team) can get the most water
from the bowl to the glass using the spoon.
Be prepared for some spills!
Ballon Golf
To prepare for this game you will
need to blow up four balloons. The two long ones are the golf clubs. The round
ones (each in a different colour) are the golf balls.
Construct a mini golf course around the garden or, if playing indoors, the
room. Place obstacles to go around and a box at the end in which to drive the
balloons.
The winner is the first person to complete the course.
Mix and Muddle
Divide your players into two teams. Have one team
turn their backs while the other join hands and get themselves into a muddle by
carefully stepping over each other's joined hands (taking care not to break the
link.)
Once the team is well and truly mixed up, the other team can come to their
rescue and untangle them. Time how long it takes to do this.
Once they have completed their task the teams swap roles and the 'untanglers'
become the ones who muddle themselves up.
The team with the fastest time are the winners.
Dragon Danger
This funny game is best played in an area where
there is lots of space. Chose who is going to be the dragon. The dragon must
chose a corner that will be their lair. No villagers are able to enter the lair
unless captured by the dragon.
The dragon chases the players and catches one by tagging them. The captive
villager is now under the dragon's spell. They join hands to catch another
villager. The captured person can hold other villagers for the dragon to tag,
but cannot tag anybody themselves.
Dragon and captives can retreat to their lair for a breather at any time.
The fun factor in the game increases as the captive chain gets longer and
longer. The game ends when all the villagers have been caught.
