Games to Play When Bored
Three Legged Race
This is a great game to play
outdoors. Pair up the players and tie their inside ankles together. Get them to
link arms or hold hands.
Each three legged pair has to run to the end of the garden or around an
obstacle course. The first pair back are the winners.
Chain Link Challenge
All you will need to play this game
is a plentiful supply of paper clips. Set the timer. The object of the game is
for each participant to join the paper clips together to make the longest
chain.
For younger players a longer time limit will work best, as little fingers are
less dexterous.
Marble Mix
Find a large bowl and add some marbles and other
small items. Things like dice, small jigsaw puzzle pieces, game counters and
nuts are good.
Everyone sits around the bowl wearing a blindfold. The challenge is to see who
can pick out the most marbles in one minute. You will need to have a timer
handy to play this game.
When ready to pack up, assign each person or team a category of things to
collect and see who can separate out all of their items from the bowl first.
For example, one person could be extracting marbles, another puzzle pieces, and
so on.
This task can be attempted either with or without blindfolds. See who finishes
first.
Coin Challenge
To play this game you will need a score pad and pen
plus two equal teams sitting opposite each other along a table.
The starting team takes the coin and passes it between them beneath the table.
In unison they then slap their hands palm down on the table.
The opposing team must correctly guess which hand the coin is under. If they do
they get a point.
Teams take turns passing the coins and guessing who has it. The first team to
reach a score of 10 points is the winner.
