Fun Party Games
What’s the Time Mr Wolf?
This fun party game is popular with the younger party guests.
One player is elected ‘wolf’ and stands at the front of the room with their back
to the others facing the wall. The others line up at the far end of the room (or
yard if playing outside). As the players slowly advance towards the wolf they must
chant in unison, “What’s the time Mr Wolf?” The wolf replies, “Two o’ clock,” or
some other time.
Players repeat their question, all the
while moving closer to the wolf. When the
wolf thinks they are close enough to be caught he or she answers, “Dinner time.”
At this point the wolf turns and chases the others trying to catch one of them before
they get back to the start point. Once the wolf catches someone, that person then
becomes the wolf and the game continues.
Memory Challenge
This fun party game is a great breather activity between more active and physical
party games.
Arrange a number of small objects on a tray. Show these to the players and then
cover them with a cloth.
Carefully remove one of the objects from the tray, taking care that nobody sees
which one you have taken. Now show the objects on the tray again. Players take turns
to guess which object is missing. If they are wrong they are out of the game. Continue until only one player is left. They are the winner.
To make the game more challenging for older players add more objects to the tray.
Simon Says
One person stands at the front of the group and gives commands to everyone else.
Players must follow instructions as quickly as possible, but only those that begin
with the words, “Simon Says”. eg Simon says put your hands on your heads.
Anyone
who obeys a command when the leader has not said, “Simon says “ must sit down and is out of the game. The winner is the last person standing.
Players can take turns being Simon.
