Family Recipes to Remember
Before the get-together ask guests
to bring with them favourite family recipies. These could be for dishes they
have created themselves or that have been passsed down generation to
generation. Ideally each recipe would come with information on and perhaps a
photo of the person. All the recipies can then be collated into a special
family recipe book.
Telling Tales
Tune into family memories, both
funny and poignant when members take turns to share stories from past to
present. You may wish to make a recording to replay or add on to at subsequent
reunions.
Fun Family Tree Round Robin
Here's a chance for everyone of all
ages to join in and create a family tree diagram. You will need to attach a
large blank chart to the wall and have some thick marker pens handy.
Have some senior members at the gathering start by adding one or two details to
the family tree. They then pass the pen on to someone else who wants to add
some information. It is a unifying experience to see how everyone is connected
